A Borrowed Scot

Author(s): Karen Ranney

Romance

This is the final book in Karen Ranney's lush, new Scottish historical romance series...... Montgomery Fairfax was the last surviving member of his family, a veteran of the Civil War, and the 11th Lord Fairfax of Doncaster Hall, a title he’d recently inherited. He wasn’t certain he was going to remain in Scotland, let alone acquire a wife, a Scotswoman named Veronica MacLeod who was already causing him a great deal of discomfort. Veronica hadn’t wanted to be a poor relation. To her utter joy, a foolish decision ended in a forced marriage to an American. Passion united them and each of them began to open up to the other. Unfortunately, the past, as well as the threat of death itself, came between them, almost destroying any hope of a happy ending.

More About The Product

Karen Ranney began writing when she was five. Her first published work was The Maple Leaf, read over the school intercom when she was in the first grade. In addition to wanting to be a violinist (her parents had a special violin crafted for her when she was seven), she wanted to be a lawyer, a teacher, and most of all, a writer. Though the violin was discarded early, she still admits to a fascination with the law, and she volunteers as a teacher whenever needed. Writing, however, has remained an overwhelming love of hers.
