Meredith Costain is a full-time writer and editor of books and magazines for children. Her many titles range from picture books through to popular fiction and non-fiction for older readers. She lives in Melbourne, Australia. David Antram was born in Brighton in 1958. He studied at Eastbourne College of Art and then worked in advertising for 15 years before becoming a full-time artist. He has illustrated many children's non-fiction books.
