Author description

Carole Massey was tutored by the distinguished artist and print maker John Brunsden during her foundation course at St. Albans School of Art. Following this she won a scholarship to study at Leicester School of Art and Design. After a career in advertising and managing her own graphic design company, Carole returned to her first love, as a full-time figurative painter. Among many patrons and admirers she can list both showbusiness personalities and royalty. Now, Carole teaches students at her studio, holding weekend workshops in drawing and painting, as well as organising painting holidays in Norfolk, Spain and Barbados. She works in acrylic, pastel, pencil, watercolour and monochrome and her paintings are held in many private collections throughout the UK, in other parts of Europe, and the Far East.
