Finders Peepers: Photo Puzzle Fun

Author(s): Ruth and Neil Thomson

Non-Fiction

This fantastically colourful book contains 10 search-and-find photographic puzzles to share with young children of 3 and older. It offers a unique opportunity for spending quality time with children, having lots of fun looking and talking but also helping them to learn. Each puzzle takes a different busy, familiar scene, beautifully laid out and photographed. These include a toy cupboard, a sewing drawer, a teddy bear's picnic, a traffic jam, a sky full of planes, a masked theatre show, fish, minibeasts and big animals. Questions are carefully placed on each page - how many? what colour? what shape? what size? where is it? which do you prefer? - which are designed to build young children's skills from early counting, number and sorting skills to visual literacy, vocabulary and communication skills. An introduction at the front of the book suggests how to make the most of sharing the book with a child, whilst there are ideas for further activities at the back.
