Gossie is a gosling. A small yellow gosling who likes to wear bright red boots. All day. Every day. Her best friend Gertie has bright blue boots, and together, they splash in the rain and play hide-and-seek in the daisies. Wherever Gossie goes, Gertie follows. Well, almost.

Olivier Dunrea was born and raised in the south of rural Virginia in the USA. Most members of his family have not learnt to read or write, and so he comes from a strong oral story-telling tradition. An author and illustrator of many well-loved children's books, he is also a trained actor, singer, dancer, painter and sculptor. He lives in the Catskill Mountains in New York State, USA.
