More About The Product

Sir Henry Rider Haggard was born in Bradenham, Norfolk, in 1856. The sixth son of a lawyer, he became junior secretary to the Governor of Natal in 1875. He spentsix years in Africa and was fascinated by its landscape, wildlife and mysterious past. Soon after returning to England he wrote his first novel, KING SOLOMON'S MINES, which became an instant bestseller. Haggard continued to be a hugely successful writer and avid traveller. He died in 1925.
