Description

"Aesop's Fables" are a cornerstone of children's literature. In this beautiful new book, Christopher Wormell takes a unique point of view of these beloved tales and with the compelling animal images which have become his trademark. Christopher Wormell's compelling and colourful artwork has won him admirers amongst children and adults alike. His first book for children, "An Alphabet of Animals", started as a series of simple and colourful lino-cut illustrations for his son, and eventually grew into a book that took the prestigious Graphics Prize at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair in 1991. "The New Alphabet of Animals", published by Running Press in 2002, won critical acclaim for the sheer force of its artistry.
