Annie Dalton has been writing children's books for many years. She had been short-listed for the Carnegie medal and won numerous awards including the Nottingham Children's Book prize and the Portsmouth Children's Book award. The idea for Moonbeans came from an illustration on a greetings card. She lives in a cottage in Norfolk that is 400 years old, with a meadow at the bottom of her garden.
