Author description

Joyce Tyldesley is an experienced Egyptologist and author, whose many publications include the best-selling Egypt: How a Lost Civilization was Rediscovered (BBC Books). Better known to children throughout the world as Dig magazine's "Dr Dig" (www.digonsite.com), she writes a regular question and answer column for young archaeologists, and has published many child-friendly articles on the ancient world. Her most recent book for children, Stories from Ancient Egypt, has received glowing reviews in Britain, the US and Australia, and is about to be published in Japan.
