Editor Gary D. Schmidt is a professor of English at Calvin College and the author of several award-winning middle-grade novels such as "Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy "(Newbery Honor Medal, Printz Honor Award, Clarion), "The Wednesday Wars "(Newbery Honor Medal, Clarion), and "Okay for Now "(National Book Award finalist, Clarion). He lives in a 175-year-old farmhouse in Alto, MI. Henri Sorensen lives in New York with his wife and daughter. He is a Danish artist whose work can be found in "The Very Best of Children's Book Illustration," published by the Society of Illustrators.
