Susan Berran has published five books with JoJo Publishing as part of The Freaky Series: Splinterz, Tow Jammd, Lickd, Bonez and Chompd. She has a unique ability to help kids to make their own fun, away from technology and just with each other and their imagination. Her books are a hit with young readers, even reluctant readers cant book her books down! Berran worked as an Illustrator Reprographic in the Australian Army for 10 years before a back injury forced her to resign. In this role she worked as a photographer to help produce maps, pamphlets and training aids to recruit new soldiers. Her creative skills shine through in the highly imaginative drawings in her books. In 2012 Berran was the co-ordinating author for a collaborative SEED story project, run by Write Around the Murray, which saw students from eight schools in regional Victoria create a story, complete with graphics.
