Ruth Thomson is an award-winning educational author (with an MA in Museum and Gallery learning), who specialises in writing books on art and history. Her art books include Grisly & Gruesome and Saints for the National Gallery, London; Disney Looking at Paintings; Adventures in Art, a series combining art appreciation with hands-on projects, with eight titles: Portraits, Celebrations, Creatures, Myths, Journeys, Families, Places and Weather. She has also written Posters and Propaganda in Wartime and a short biography of Georgia O'Keeffe.
