The fete is the biggest event of the Peppercorn Primary School year, and Sooz Murphy's parents are organising it. Sooz has been co-opted to look after the mascot, Pepper the rat, and has discovered to her horror that she will be wearing the giant rat suit as well. Everything falls apart when she loses Pepper.
