The Santa Trap (Let's Read!)
Author(s): Jonathan Emmett
The complete story and original illustrations of Jonathan Emmett and Poly Bernatene's picture book, THE SANTA TRAP, have been specially re-designed into a smaller early reader format. Created with expert advice from a literacy consultant, this new version offers children a natural next step on from picture books to support them as they grow in reading confidence. Bradley Bartleby is very bad -- and Santa Claus knows it! So when Bradley empties his stocking on Christmas Day to find nothing but a pair of socks, he hatches a devious plan. With dynamite, trapdoors and a tiger, Santa doesn't stand a chance. Does he? 'This is a great series which, by using well-loved stories, will encourage children to become enthusiastic, independent readers.' -- Dr Fiona Maine, Lecturer in Literacy Education, University of Cambridge

More About The Product
Jonathan Emmett was an architect before turing his hand to writing. Since then he has written many books for children -- and won awards for them too. This story was inspired by the real Santa traps that Jonathan built as a boy. Poly Bernatene has illustrated over sixty books for children in many countries all over the world. When he isn't busy illustrating, Poly works as a professor at the school in Argentina where he trained as an illustrator. He lives with his wife and two children, and has never tried to trap Santa.
