We Love Nature!: A Keepsake Journal for Families Who Love to Explore the Outdoors

Author(s): Stacy Tornio

Animals and Nature

Share in the discovery of nature with your child and preserve his or her sense of wonder in this keepsake journal filled with activities and ideas--for children ages two to eight. What did you grow in your first garden? What stories did you imagine when you looked up at the clouds? How did you feel when you went for your first paddle in a canoe? A child's discovery of the outdoors is filled with awe, wonder, and delight. In this interactive journal, parents and kids are offered activities that spark an investigation of nature and are then given space to record their discoveries. Part keepsake journal, part activity book, We ⥠Nature! gives parents and their kids easy ways to explore nature that lead to fun, profound memories. The benefits of introducing children to nature have been well documented, from Rachel Carson's classic work A Sense of Wonder to Richard Louv's Last Child in the Woods. This simple book signals a grand notion: that time spent in nature is special and worth documenting from the start.
